Eller Tracks of Excellence
In their third and fourth years, Eller Honors students select one of the following Tracks of Excellence in order to complete six units of thesis work as required for graduation with Honors.

Track 1: Academic Departmental Research
To complete this track, initiate contact with a faculty member in the department of your choice. That faculty member will serve as your advisor as you undertake research design and critical analysis for the discipline of your choice, leading to writing and presenting your thesis during the second semester of your senior year.
Course: Independent Study
Track 2: Entrepreneurship
This track allows you to complete a business plan as your Honors thesis, working closely with faculty in the McGuire Entrepreneurship program to complete your Honors capstone project. This track requires acceptance to the McGuire Entrepreneurship program — apply early in the spring semester to start in the fall.
Course: MGMT 487H and MGMT 484H
Track 3: Social Entrepreneurship/Community Impact
This popular track will test your creativity and dedication as you undertake a project grounded in the principles of social entrepreneurship. You will begin by developing a project scope followed by a written implementation proposal incorporating research and analysis. During your final semester, you will implement your plan and establish a succession plan.
Courses: MGMT 488H and Independent Study
Track 4: Leadership
You begin this track with an idea for a program or project that will benefit the Eller College and/or The University of Arizona community. Similar to Track 3, you will develop a program/project proposal that incorporates research and analysis, then implement your plan and establish a succession plan in your final semester.
Courses: BNAD 496Z H and Independent Study
Track 5: Global Management
This track offers you the opportunity to complete a project focused on a chosen global management issue. Working with a lead faculty member, you will spend your senior year first in research design and critical analysis, then completing a written thesis and presentation of your final project. This track requires admission to the International Business Certificate program.
Courses: BNAD 449 H and Independent Study
Track 6: Applied Portfolio Management
If you are interested in finance, this track allows you to apply classroom learning to the active management of a portfolio, with your applied portfolio report serving as your final thesis. Admission to this track requires completing FIN 412, earning an A in FIN 421, FIN 423A, and approval from the Department of Finance.
